The Moses Story

The Moses Auto Group has been under the same family ownership since Jack Moses founded it in 1940s, and has proudly served customers from West Virginia and the surrounding tri-state area for their automotive needs for over 60 years.
The Moses Auto Group that exists today began in Welch, West Virginia in 1947.  Jack Moses, after serving our country in World War II, opened a Lincoln-Mercury dealership.  After a few years in Welch, he sold the dealership there and opened a Ford dealership in Ashland, Kentucky.  In the mid-50s, he sold the Ford dealership in Ashland and bought a Pontiac dealership in Huntington, West Virginia, where it is still thriving.

Growing up, Jack’s four children would often visit the dealership and work there during their summer vacations.  The Moses Auto Group now consists as a family of dealerships, including Moses Cadillac Buick GMC and Moses Mitsubishi & Nissan in Huntington headed by Jack’s grandson, Jason Moses; Moses Honda & Volkswagen in Huntington managed by Jack’s daughter, Barbara Moses; Moses Cadillac Buick GMC in Charleston presided over by Jack’s son, Bob Moses; and Moses Ford, Lincoln, and BMW in St. Albans run by Jack’s son, Steve Moses.

The Group later expanded to open the Moses Factory Outlet stores with locations in Teays Valley and Corridor G in South Charleston.  Between all the dealerships and outlets, the Moses Auto Group offers a diverse selection of top-of-the-line brands, as well as over $20 million of premier pre-owned vehicles so Moses customers would never have to sacrifice choice for quality customer care.

Moses Auto Group continues to prosper today, at least partly due to its history and experience in the automobile business, but more importantly by providing three generations of loyal customers with a wide selection of new and used cars, multiple methods of financing, advanced training and equipment in its service departments and body shops, and friendly and attentive personnel who are committed to customer satisfaction.
